Welcome to Our School
Welcome to AppleTree East Lansing! We are located at 3341 Coleman Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823, just 5 minutes off the US-127 exit. We proudly serve families who commute into the East Lansing area, including those from East Lansing, Bath, DeWitt, Mason, and more.
Our childcare and preschool center offers programs for Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, and Before- and After-School Clubs, all created to help children learn, grow, build confidence, and thrive. We also offer the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) for eligible Pre-K families. Families also appreciate our flexible scheduling options, including full-time, part-time, and Summer Camp.
Children can enjoy engaging enrichment opportunities such as Spanish and Soccer, supporting their social, cognitive, and physical development in fun and meaningful ways.
Our caring, experienced educators make every child feel loved, supported, and inspired to grow. Our teaching team brings 100 years of combined experience and holds CPR and First Aid Certifications, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally supportive environment every day.
Safety is our top priority, and our thorough health and safety standards create a secure, nurturing place for children to learn and play. Families love our family communication app, SproutAbout, for its live streaming classroom access and real-time updates that help them stay informed and engaged.

Sarah Schumacher, Director
Hello! My name is Sarah Schumacher. I have worked in our toddler and preschool classrooms as well as previously focusing on curriculum for all age groups! I then began as program director in 2015. Providing quality childcare and early education through developmentally appropriate curriculum and highly qualified team in a safe, nurturing, and encouraging environment is my priority and goal as program director. I look forward to working with and getting to know each AppleTree family!

Emily Langlois, Assistant Director
Hello! My name is Emily Langlois. I grew up in Muskegon, MI and attended Grand Valley State University. I have been in the field of Education for seven years and at AppleTree for five. Before becoming the Associate Director, I worked in our Terance, Pratt and Otis preschool classrooms. As Associate Director, I aim to support our teaching team to provide a safe environment and high-quality education to the children in our care. I'm excited to have the chance to welcome you and your family!
